Course Description

ACCT 800 Detecting Accounting Fraud: Analysis and Ethics examines the nature and types of accounting fraud, its motivations, and techniques to detect these practices. In this course, students also learn about the historical perspective of infamous accounting fraud cases, the appropriate treatment of information fraud, accounting manipulations using accounting procedures, the impacts of accounting fraud on various stakeholders, the ethical issues surrounding accounting fraud, and warning signs that should be recognized.
