The focus includes establishing study goals and objectives as the initial part of the dissertation.

Learning Outcomes:

Learn the process of conducting research, from problem selection to the completion of a report with practical suggestions based on a strong theoretical foundation and sound pedagogy.
Identify a research laboratory and secure a thesis supervisor.
Collaborate with a proposal advisory committee to define a thesis topic and prepare a thesis proposal.
Establish a thesis committee for guidance and evaluation throughout the research process, ultimately preparing a written thesis proposal.
