Course Description

CSA 815 Information Risk Management examines risks to information and information systems, emphasizing not only the risks brought about by technology itself but, more importantly, by processes, procedures, and people. The emphasis of this course is on the management of these risks to ensure secure information systems. Moreover, in this course, students consider the technology, tools, standards, regulations, and methods incorporated in information systems to manage information risks. (Formerly CSA 815 : Information System Risk Management)

  • Learn and discuss the risks to information and information systems, as well as the management of these risks.
  • Understand the key concepts of information security risk management.
  • Critically analyze the technology, tools, standards, regulations, and methods incorporated in information systems to manage information risks.
