Course Description

DHS 720 Leading Organizational Change examines leadership approaches to transforming organizations to meet the evolving, often contradictory needs of changing local healthcare systems. In particular, this course delves into transformational change for organizations seeking to improve population health amidst rising healthcare costs. Students learn to initiate, implement, and sustain genuine, lasting organizational change in moving towards a healthcare system focused on the patient, replacing traditional silos with innovative, collaborative efforts to impact health outcomes positively.

  • Understand the building blocks for strategic planning to lead organizational change.
