Course Description

DHS 730 Ethical Nursing Leadership explores the fundamentally crucial role of ethical practice among nurse leaders, emphasizing the behavioral dimensions of ethical leadership. In this course, students learn the various modal orientations of nursing leadership and how leadership influence in nursing should be consistent with ethical and moral values. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn to incorporate moral principles in day-to-day nursing leadership practice, emphasizing virtues.
  • Understand the competencies of the ethical nurse leader.
  • Understand how nurse leaders can inspire organizational followers to achieve high personal mastery and efficacy levels.
  • Critically analyze the ethical and moral values that must guide the behavior of nurse leaders.
