DHS 740 Healthcare Economics & Financial Management delvers into topics and issues in healthcare economics and financial management that nurse leaders often encounter. In this course, students learn the importance of economics and financial management to nurse leaders and the special challenges that nurse managers face relative to these topics so that they can find solutions to the challenges. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand healthcare economics and financial management from the perspective of nursing leadership.
  • Learn and critically analyze health indicators in relation to healthcare budgets, with strategies for controlling budget costs and techniques for budget preparation.
