Course Description

DHS 775 Advanced Quantitative Methods in Health is an advanced course in quantitative research methods, through which students learn to plan, conduct, analyze, and evaluate research on population health, health outcomes, and health care delivery. Through this course, students also gain a sound knowledge of research methods used in health policy. Moreover, students learn the multidisciplinary approach to collaborating with researchers from other fields, research perspectives, and methods. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Learn and apply the multidisciplinary approach to public health research, emphasizing quantitative methods.
  • Critically analyze issues in quantitative public health research methods and designs to be able to address these issues.
  • Practice planning, conducting, analyzing, and evaluating research on population health, health outcomes, and health care delivery.
  • Develop proficiency in research methods used in health policy.
