DHS 820 Reframing Power and Policy in Global Health takes a critical approach to analyzing new ways of considering, researching, and responding to power and policy as they are implicated in global health matters. Drawing from broad scholarship on global health, this course adopts the view that approaches to global health problems also need to be more informed by the needs of citizens within local settings. In this course, students learn to harness critical thinking and analysis to determine the roots of the limitations of interventions in contemporary global health and find better solutions to persistent issues.
