Course Description

DNP 710 Integrity & Leadership in Nursing Practice is designed for future nurse leaders, from solo practice clinics to the most complex system, from an isolated rural community to a health sciences center. This course teaches students how to enhance their skills and stature to become influential transformational nurse leaders. This “becoming” is meant to be a transforming experience that will allow students to lead in a future of enormous challenges. In this course, students also learn about the value of integrity in nursing practice and leadership and how to develop this attribute.  

Learning Outcomes:

  • Develop the intellectual, practical, and spiritual commitment to improving clinical practice and leading others toward their own transformation.
  • Learn how to develop courage, knowledge, and a foundation in clinical practice transitioning into influential leadership.
  • Understand the value of integrity in nursing practice and leadership and how this can be developed.
  • The role of the doctor of nursing practice in organizational and systems leadership.
