Course Description

DNP 765 Advanced Assessment in Nursing Education examines evidence-based concepts of assessment, testing, and evaluation in nursing education to prepare nursing teachers to carry these out as part of their roles. In this course, students learn effective assessment procedures, how to plan for testing, how to assemble and administer tests, and how to analyze test results. Students also learn how to write all types of test items, develop assessment methods, and assess higher-level cognitive skills and learning.

  • Learn and discuss testing and other assessment methods in nursing education.
  • Critically analyze the elements of test construction, administration, and analysis.
