Course Description

DNP 910 Quality, Safety, and Informatics examines current subjects in clinical informatics, emphasizing quality and safe patient care. In this course, students learn about inpatient and outpatient clinical information systems, clinical decision support systems, health information technology, genomics, mobile health, telehealth, and cloud-based computing to improve patient outcomes. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand how clinical informatics enhances quality and safe patient care.
  • Critically analyze relevant health policies governing the use of clinical informatics for safety and quality.
  • Learn and discuss specific clinical technologies currently harnessed for patient safety.
