Course Description

DNP 920 Interprofessional Nursing is an advanced course in interprofessional nursing, delving into the sociological and psychosocial viewpoints of interprofessional experiences from which a strong evidence base may be obtained. In this course, students gain a unique perspective on the issues confronting interprofessional nursing and learn how and why this perspective lends credence and acceptability to interprofessional experiences. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand the evolution of interprofessional practice in health care.
  • Critically analyze the sociological and psychosocial perspectives of interprofessional nursing.
  • Critically analyze the issue confronting interprofessional nursing to find solutions.
  • Thoroughly understand the reality of “being interprofessional.”
