Course Description

ECON 539 Applied Statistics for Economics introduces students to powerful statistical methods and techniques applied to economics. Students learn applied statistics for economics in real-life situations, stimulating them to think realistically in tackling these problems. Students are given hands-on opportunities to perform calculations through standard spreadsheets, allowing them to examine data and the relationships in economics data.
