Course Description

LL.M 519 Contracts is designed for international students of law and thus, focuses on essential facets of drafting, interpreting, analyzing, and enforcing international contracts. Through this course, students are provided an overview of different contracts used in international trade. Students are introduced to the fundamental principles and regulatory framework of international contracts. Throughout this course, students develop critical analytical and practical skills in drafting, reviewing, and interpreting international contracts, as well as resolving international commercial disputes. 

Learning Outcomes:

  • Understand fundamental principles and regulatory framework of international contracts.

  • Develop skills needed to draft, review, and interpret international contracts and resolve international commercial disputes.

  • Apply general contract rules of construction to the analysis of contract provisions.

  • Analyze contractual clauses to determine the parties’ rights and obligations.
