Course Description

MIR 530 Statecraft and Diplomacy explores the historical influences on statecraft and
diplomacy. Through this course, students examine how diplomacy works and apply statecraft
methods and international relations (IR) strategies. Moreover, students learn about the course of American statecraft over the last century, emphasizing historical knowledge, insights, lessons, analogies, and narratives that permeate how the United States interacts with the world.
