Course Description

MPH 507 Public Health Program Planning and Evaluation comprehensively explores the development of public health programs that address critical health issues affecting local, national, and international communities. In this course, students learn the processes and systems in program management for public health, including planning, design, implementation, assessment, monitoring, and evaluation. In particular, students learn the core and facilitative activities through which program mission and objectives are established and pursued through various processes, using human and other resources. Topics covered in this course are organized according to the work of public health program managers, planning and designing effective public health programs, leading to accomplishing desired results, decision-making, effective communication, total quality management, marketing, evaluation, and relevant issues.
