Course Description

This residency course is designed to build upon the scientific, theoretical, and clinical foundations acquired in the MSN program. Students will synthesize knowledge, academic readings, and findings from scientific studies, along with clinical experience, to enhance their practice and contribute to healthcare delivery. The residency will focus on one nursing clinical field, such as Maternal & Child Health, Geriatrics, Mental Health, or Medical-Surgical.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Gain exposure to increasingly complex patients, populations, and healthcare systems.
  • Integrate and synthesize knowledge and clinical experience to enhance nursing practice.
  • Develop critical thinking and decision-making skills relevant to nursing practice.
  • Function as a specialist/consultant in resolving clinical problems.
